Once upon a time, in a dark, cold, foggy world, there was a little lamp. He was proud to be a little light in this dark, cold world. And he had big dreams. He knew he could not shine bright enough and warm the world by himself. So he decided to use his flame to light the biggest lamp, the biggest flame.
High and low, he searched, trying to find the biggest candle, the biggest lamp, the brightest thing he could light. Years went by all he found were unlit candles, unlit tiny lamps - no big lights, no large candles worth lighting. After years of searching, he gave up.
As he sat dejected, many little unlit lamps approached him and asked him about his life. He regaled them with his travels, his search, his adventure, his failure. And he thought - why not? And he lighted one of the little lamps. And then, just to be fair, he lighted another. And then another. Soon, the valley was filled with little lamps, soon he could see further.
It was then that he realised that instead of searching for the large lamps, he should have lit all the little ones he met.
This is beautiful Rahul.
Thank you.
Here’s to letting “This little light of mine — shine.”
