The Left-Liberal ecosystem
Everyone agrees that the Left-Liberal ecosystem exists and is quite powerful. But how does it look? Who are the players? How does it work?
The left-Liberal (LeLi) ecosystem is one of the most powerful elements in social discourse. It acts and reacts as one organism making it difficult for individuals to debate and engage this LeLi system. The LeLi system steamrolls every argument using its sheer size, scope, and spread of its confrontation. They achieve this through actors coordinated by some incentive structure. Let us understand how.
The LeLi Ecosystem comprises the following:
1. Different types of Actors
Broadly speaking, the LeLi system comprises the following actors, some individuals and other institutions.
Groundworkers - Activists, Unions
Talent Scouts
Art and Culture Players
Journalists
NGOs
Amplifiers - Actors
Thinktanks and Institutes
Politicians - Someone who can move between all of these
Global Institutions
2. A mechanism to identify, groom and nurture them
The second aspect of the system is a mechanism and structure to identify and groom these actors. A common person cannot be slotted into these roles with ease. You need to groom them.
The best strategy is to start young. Young people are always enamoured by the idealistic concepts of Marxism and socialism. If one manages to grow up without being brainwashed, we learn that idealism is good in theory but leads to bad outcomes. So the strategy is to brainwash them young.
These actors are put in various roles on a smaller stage - at the college level, factory union level etc. If they succeed, then they are put on bigger and bigger theatres.
The debaters are put into debates with LeLi Professors, leaders, and finally, the LeLi thought leaders. Then they are put before supportive media personnel, then neutral media personnel etc.
Some are deputed to intern with LeLi stars or high achievers or sympathisers. You can make them research assistants, media managers etc.
The LeLi institutions create a network of events and programs that allow a forum for these upcoming actors to showcase their abilities. If they have talent, they are taken in for further grooming.
The actors are gradually scaled into their roles.
No one left behind is a rule followed by LeLi system. The idea is some people achieve later in life and you do not want them to be caustic when they get power.
3. Identifying the initiatives or topics
The left does not invent initiatives against the right, haphazardly or overnight. The process is organic. Various initiatives are allowed to fester below the radar. The right does not have enough bandwidth to nip them in the bud.
As the occasion arises, initiatives are picked up based on how effectively they can be deployed against the right. Think of it as a chessboard. The LeLi ecosystem determines who are the actors in what places and how much purchase can they achieve against the Right. When the LeLi system moves, it feels like it is a conspiracy. It is not. It is quite a strategic manner of action.
4. Engaging with the Right.
The engagement with the Right is carefully monitored.
There is a hierarchy of debate forums. As mentioned, at the grooming stage, the actors debate with friends, LeLi experts and skilled debaters, and then they are allowed to debate with weak opponents from the Right.
The debates with intellectual stalwarts from the Right are always undertaken with pliable LeLi moderators.
This principle is applied to all engagements with the Right. A LeLi novice journalist will be featured in College Magazines first, then escalates to LeLi publication, and graduate to books and other gigs. But her engagement with the right will always be in the LeLi forum.
The engagement will always be asymmetric - the heavyweight LeLi candidate will debate the lightweight Right candidate.
During the debates, the LeLi candidate, having the training and practice, will engage in half-truths, limited truths and truths out of context.
5. System of incentives
There is a system to coordinate various actors, initiatives and engagements with the Right. It is something like Adam Smith’s invisible hand is at work here.
The incentive structure is very fine-tuned. You get the stage; your voice gets amplified, you get monetary support in the initial years, and later you become a star to attract funding on your own. You are then called upon to groom and nurture future talent.
In Sum
A proper clash of ideas, debate and creating a buy-in are necessary processes within a democratic discourse. A well-evolved LeLi system has limited the space for voices and ideas from the Right. To counter, the Right needs to build such an ecosystem. Without a well-prepared is unlikely to generate proper debate.
Secret question for those who read till the end:
Do you think I should make this into an e-book? Let me know in the comments or reply to this email.

Questions:
Are you suggesting that Leli is operating under this organized structure as a intentional strategy?
It is only the issues (they attack on) that are rising organically, or the system itself?
If it is an intentional strategy, who are the organizers/leaders?
What is comparable on the right? What is the right’s strategy?
How do you interpret this in relation to the Peter Thiel article? I think of the right as the rational/logical arm of society. The left brings passion which can lead to evolutionary change. Both passion and reason are needed.
Is the LeLi storytelling (intentional or not) winning hearts and surpassing minds?
Definitely merits an E-Book, don't hesitate please!
This is a killer system and needs to be challenged powerfully. And for that its structure and perniciousness needs to be fully understood.
